Lydiard Park Loop (Best for quick scenic runs)
Distance: ~4–5 km
Distance from hotel: ~0.5 miles / 10-minute jog
This is the most popular running route near the hotel. The loop runs around the lake and through parkland surrounding the historic Lydiard House. It’s mostly flat with paved paths, making it ideal for 5K runs, morning jogs, or relaxed training sessions.

Shaw Forest Park Trails
Distance: 3–6 km depending on route
Distance from hotel: ~1 mile
A slightly more trail-style run with woodland paths and some gentle hills. Shaw Forest Park sits above West Swindon and offers great views across the town.

North Wilts Canal & Mouldon Hill Loop
Distance: 5–10 km loops
Distance from hotel: ~10 minutes drive
This is a favourite for longer runs. The paths follow the old canal line and the River Ray through the countryside and lakes.

Peatmoor & West Swindon Lake Route
Distance: 2–4 km loop
Distance from hotel: ~1 mile
A short and peaceful lake loop that connects easily with paths through West Swindon if you want to extend the distance.
