Your wedding day is one of life’s most important moments. At DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, our role is simple: to take care of every detail so you can relax and enjoy every second. From your first enquiry to the final toast, our team is here to bring your vision to life.

Dedicated Support Every Step Of The Way
From the moment you enquire, you will receive personalised service and a Wedding Coordinator assisting you with the planning of your special day. During the first consultation, you are invited to view the hotel facilities and discuss the collections offered to you for your special day.
Communication is key throughout the planning of your wedding; therefore, four weeks before your wedding date, we will schedule a meeting to finalise all details. This meeting provides an opportunity for you to meet with the Conference and Banqueting Team, who will be specifically dedicated to running your wedding on the day.
Within 14 days of signing your contract with us, a £500 deposit will be required.
50% of your estimated charges are to be paid six months before your wedding date. Final payment is required one month before your wedding date. Alternatively, you can call the events team on 01793 410958 to discuss a suitable payment plan that suits your circumstances.

Arranging Your Ceremony
To help bring your special day together, you’ll need to arrange your Registrar directly for your civil ceremony. We recommend contacting the Superintendent Registrar for the local district to give notice and secure your preferred date and time.
Booking your Registrar early ensures everything is in place before confirming your wedding with us. Ceremony timings can then be agreed with the Registrar and shared with our team, so we can seamlessly coordinate your day.
Registrar fees are paid directly to the Registrar’s office, and we’re always here if you need guidance along the way.

Make A Night Of It
Your guests can enjoy a comfortable stay in our contemporary bedrooms at a special discounted rate for your wedding. Check-in is from 3pm, with check-out at 12pm the following day, and a relaxed breakfast served until 11am on weekends. Early check-in and late check-out are available, subject to availability.
A minimum of 10 rooms for one night is required to access this rate, which can be increased with support from your Wedding Coordinator, subject to availability.
All discounted rooms require full pre-payment and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Your Wedding Coordinator will provide a unique booking link and code, with guests able to book up to six weeks before your wedding date. After this, standard rates will apply.
Rooms start from £89.00 per night, including breakfast, with upgrades available. All stays include complimentary parking and access to our fitness suite.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at a civil ceremony?
A civil ceremony is a non-religious ceremony, conducted by the registrar from our Registry Office.
How many people can sit at each table?
The round tables in our function rooms seat up to 12 guests
Can we provide our own flowers, entertainment, beverages?
We are more than happy for you to arrange your own flowers/decorations and entertainment. Please note that each supplier must be able to comply with legal requirements such as Insurance/PAT testing, etc.
All food and drink will be provided by us as part of your wedding package. Should you wish to bring in your own beverages, corkage charges will apply based on how many bottles are brought to the property, not consumed.
When do we select our menus?
You will be invited to a menu tasting evening around six months before your wedding. The hotel will advise you to send out your menu with your invitations for your guests. Final pre-orders, along with dietary requirements, need to be submitted to the wedding co-ordinator a minimum of four weeks before your wedding.
Do I have to get married on a Saturday?
Saturday is traditionally the favoured day; however, there are many reasons to choose a different day. We offer weddings throughout the week and weekend, all subject to availability and terms/conditions.
What shape and size is your cake stand?
We have a square stand at 38cm x 38cm and an acrylic circle cake stand.
Can we have confetti?
Yes, biodegradable only.
How do we make a booking?

Can you hold space?
We can provisionally reserve space for your booking for up to two weeks. During this time, we recommend confirming your ceremony details. After the two weeks, we will need your confirmation to proceed. If we do not hear from you, the space will be released, and written confirmation of this will be emailed to you.
Where can we take photographs?
The hotel features a beautiful decking area just outside the 14Twelve Brasserie, perfect for capturing special wedding moments. You are also welcome to use certain public areas of the hotel, with prior agreement. For more picturesque settings, we suggest nearby Lydiard Park or Jubilee Park; please note that these locations may require prior contact, as the hotel is not affiliated with them.
